Many thanks, Packrat! These were the best of the images that I took on that glorious autumn afternoon. Today, we've got steady rain, and all the leaves have come off the trees. The beautiful autumn is just a memory captured in images now.
I earned an advanced degree in ecology and held a professional position related to forest ecosystem restoration. I retired from my position in 2018 and moved from the Mid-Atlantic to the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

Wow those are all amazing shots. Unfortunately here in Canada, we are long past that pretty stage. Everything has turned to grey November.
All of these pictures are knockouts, so pretty! I love beeches.
